CDS Championship Show

Fox Run Farm had excellent results at this end of the year show. Jazzman strutted his stuff in the USDF Grand Prix Freestyle and won with a score of 71% over a field of eight horses. He was even better the next night, under the lights and in front of a large crowd in the CDS Horse of the Year Grand Prix Freestyle. Uwe Mechlem placed him first with a 71% and the crowd seemed to agree, but Jeanne MacDonald only saw him at 65% so he finished third overall. In the CDS Grand Prix, Jazz demonstrated his best piaffe and passage yet, but some uncharacteristic mistakes in the two tempis and a large right pirouette dropped him to third with a 67.8%. Katy Barglow won the CDS Amateur Futurity with her young horse Uniek. In only the fourth show in his life, Uni behaved like a much more experienced horse and Katy is very proud of him. Katy also won the warm-up Prix St. Georges on Domino and finished a very close fourth in the USDF Amateur Prix St. Georges.
