San Diego Chapter Show, Del Mar, CA, June 18-19, 2010

Herzsprung made his first planned start at the local chapter show, competing in training level 3 and 4 both Saturday and Sunday. Once again, his behavior was stellar with no major spooks and hardly any tension. Harry won two classes and placed second and third in the others. His scores ranged from 69% to 71.9%. As you can see from Donna's face at the end of the test, she was very pleased with her young horse! Mondeo, with Sandra Hansen, and Veloz, with Donna, continued to contest Prix St. Georges. Mondeo took major exception to the Friesians being driven in the next ring during his first test but regrouped and scored a 66% the next day, good enough for second place. Veloz put in steady tests but is still very green at the FEI level. Donna is looking forward to a break in showing him where she can concentrate at home on building up his strength so he can show the brilliance she knows is in him.
