California
Dressage Society Championship Show, October 2004.
Mondeo was sidelined with a minor injury after being cast in his stall, but
his stablemate Domino carried on in Mondeo's absence. Donna rode Domino to
third in both the USDF Intermediate I and Intermediate Freestyle Championships
as well as placing fifth in the CDS Open Intermediate I and sixth in the CDS
Intermediate Freestyle. Katy Barglow rode her Le Mans to the CDS Intermediate
II Championship and the USDF Intermediate II Reserve. Way to go Katy! Valerie
Cheatham finished fifth in the huge CDS Futurity, ridden at first level test
2 and 3. Quite an achievement on a horse she picked out as a yearling! Angela
Spucces' St. James almost didn't make it to the show ring, popping a foot
abscess the first day of the show. Luckily, with a lot of attention, James
recovered in time to compete in the USDF first level championships on the
last day of the show. Better luck next year at second and third level, Angela.
