CDS Championship
Show, October 2-6, 2005
Katy and LeMans rode in their last competitive outing, placing well against
all the "big boys." She was seventh in the CDS Grand Prix, fifth
in the USDF Grand Prix Freestyle, and fifth in the CDS Grand Prix. Katy was
especially excited to ride in the Saturday night freestyle because all of
her friends from San Francisco who had know Leo as a 3 year old were able
to come and see him "all grown up."
Lynn La Caze and West Point finished well in all their first level amateur
clasees. These classes were HUGE, ranging from 30 to 40 horses. After a bit
of a rough start in the first round of the CDS first level horse of the year,
she improved greatly in the second round and finished fifth overall. In the
USDF First Level Horse of the Year, she was third, just a fraction away from
reserve champion. She and Westie also finished third in the USDF and CDS First
Level Freestyle classes against the pros.
Carrie Rollins placed well on her third level Hosteiner mare Oxsana in her
first venture into the open divisions. Aboard Phaedra, she was Reserve Open
Second Level USDF Champion. Both horses are now for sale and should easily
find new homes.
