Al
Gordon
Al Gordon is an investment analyst who commutes to Fox Run Farm from Dana Point.
He started the year working on his seat and ended it winning classes at second
level. Al works incredibly hard but he couldn't have done it without the elite
Hannoverian mare Winnica by Weltmeyer. When Donna found that this beautiful
mare who had been trained to fourth level was for sale, literally up the street
from Fox Run, she insisted Al try her out. Al rode her once and bought her on
the spot. The pair made their debut at training level at the Los Angeles Equestrian
Center. The next available show was the Del Mar National, where no training
level was offered. Al and Winnie stepped right up, winning several classes at
first level and edging out fellow Fox Run student Katy Barglow on Uniek for
the Amateur High Point award. Al showed Winnie once more at first level, then
moved on to second. He certainly wins the prize for the most rapidly improving
rider here at the farm. Winnie is already confirmed in all her third level work,
so Al is going to spend the next few months improving his feel for collection.
Then on to third level!
